A Blessing Box is a free little pantry on a post, open 24 hours a day, stocked with shelf-stable groceries. About 20 stand around Bristol, every one on a spot where a property owner said yes.

In plain terms.

What it is: A small weatherproof cabinet on a post.
Looks like: White, painted with hearts. "Take what you need, leave what you can" on the door.
Built from: Lumber and hardware, by hand. Some of it donated.
Holds: Free shelf-stable groceries. No glass jars, nothing that needs a fridge.
Open: 24 hours a day.
Lock: None. No sign-up, no one watching.

After you say yes

We build it, install it, and restock it.

The crew that builds the boxes is the crew that looks after them.

We build the box by hand and install it.
We restock it. The box route is about 20 stops around Bristol, every week.
We repair it.
When a giveaway date changes, we post a flyer on the box.
Neighbors help too. Anyone can drop shelf-stable food in a box any time, and a volunteer can adopt one box near home and keep it full.
If you see it empty, broken, or missing its door before we do, call or text us.

If there is anything hosting would ask of you, that is the first thing we'll talk through.

Three people and a van.

Faith Mobile Food Bank Bristol is a registered 501(c)(3), not tied to any church. The crew is three people, each over 60 and living with a disability, and a van. No building, no paid staff. Roxana, the founder, texts you back.
